Scattering Function for Fogs

Not Accessible

Abstract

The paper summarizes recent experimental data on fogs. It is shown that a wide range of conditions from very light to very dense fogs can be represented by a single shape of scattering function. The scattering function F(θ) is defined graphically and by a table of values. Given this scattering function, the scattering coefficient of a fog can be defined in terms of the attenuation coefficient.
