Abstract

A 1-meter normal incidence vacuum grating monochromator, designed from the points of view of speed in operation, versatility, automatic scanning, and photoelectric recording, is described. The instrument is equipped with a three-speed synchronous direct reading wavelength drive, with entrance and exit slit turrets which permit rapid interchange of three slits, and with a fast pumping system.
