Abstract
Sensitive materials for photographing the far-ultraviolet spectrum usually require either a fluorescent overcoating on the emulsion or a sensitive silver halide layer containing a low concentration of gelatin on the surface. The characteristics of a new photographic material of the latter type are described. Tests indicate that the new emulsion has higher sensitivity, greater contrast, lower fog, and is processed by a simpler procedure than previously available materials. The absorption effect of gelatin is shown.
