Abstract

A microchannel spatial light modulator having the functions of writing positive and negative charges has been developed. Moreover it has the special functions of zooming, deflecting, and rotating images. The device can achieve image differentiation and Laplacian operation as well as image addition, subtraction, and logic operations. The device facilitates pattern recognition.
