Simplified realization of the holographic inverse filter: a new method

Abstract

An inverse filter for image processing can be realized holographically on a single photographic plate: the Fourier hologram recording arrangement is modified by attenuating the object and reference waves by an amplitude filter. Thereby the setup can be shortened and the adjustment is simplified.
