Terahertz pulse generation by multi-color laser fields with linear versus circular polarization: erratum

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We present an erratum to our Letter [Opt. Lett. 46, 5906 (2021) [CrossRef]  ]. This erratum corrects the caption of Fig. 2, which contains confusing information. This correction does not affect any of the results or the conclusions of the original Letter.

Corrections

5 January 2024: A typographical correction was made to the author listing.

There was misleading and incomplete content in the caption of Fig. 2 in our Letter [1], which we correct in this erratum. The corrected caption, together with the original figure, appears in this erratum as Fig. 1.

 figure: Fig. 1.

Fig. 1. (a) THz energy yields normalized to their LP-P two-color counterpart and computed from the LC model using Eq. (2) for unchirped 60 fs pulses composed of 2 to 15 colors with QST ionization rate (blue/red curves) or the PPT rate with $Z_{O_2}^* = 1$ (purple/cyan curves). Dashed curves refer to analytical expressions ($\eta _{\rm THz}$) also normalized to the LP-P two-color case (see text). (b) Peak electron density and (c) conversion efficiency as functions of the input intensity for an LPP (blue/cyan curves) or CP-S pulse (red/purple curves) with 2 (dashed curves) or 10 colors (solid curves) using the QST (blue/red curves) or PPT rate (cyan/purple curves). Vertical dotted lines indicate the minimum intensity value from which singly ionized charge states are completed.
