In the left column of the first page in [1], “${}^4{\mathrm{F}}_{3/2}(1)\to {}^4{\mathrm{I}}_{11/2}(1)$ transition” should read “${}^4{\mathrm{F}}_{3/2}(2)\to {}^4{\mathrm{I}}_{11/2}(2)$ transition.”

In the right column of the second page, “${\sigma }_1$-polarized transition line, ${}^4{\mathrm{F}}_{3/2}(1)\to {}^4{\mathrm{I}}_{11/2}(1)$,” should read “${\sigma }_2$-polarized transition line, ${}^4{\mathrm{F}}_{3/2}(2)\to {}^4{\mathrm{I}}_{11/2}(2)$,” and vice versa.

These corrections do not affect any of the conclusions in [1].
