Near-field intensity distribution 20nm above a dipole antenna (l=230nm) as a function of the illumination wavelength. The corresponding spectrum (field intensity in the gap) is shown in the inset. The optical properties of plasmonic dipole and bowtie nanoantennas are investigated in detail using the Green's tensor technique. [See - H. Fischer and O. J. F. Martin Fig. 3 for details.]
