Abstract
We correct the value of coefficient Γ presented in Opt. Express 23, 32747 (2015) [CrossRef] , which describes the relationship between the mean output degree of polarization and the average gain of fiber optical parametric amplifiers.

In [1], we showed that the mean output degree of polarization (DOP) and average gain of fiber optical parametric amplifier (FOPA) are related by an interpolation function similar to that of counter propagating fiber Raman amplifiers. Owing to an error in calculating the average gain over the gain band of four FOPAs using different fibers and pump powers, we had underestimated the value of coefficient Γ in this interpolation function. The error do not change the findings or conclusion in [1]. The corrected Fig. 7 in [1] should be:

In the middle of the first paragraph of Section 3.5. The statement:
“As shown in Fig. 7, the numerical results of four FOPAs using different fibers and pump powers agree well with Eq. (10) when Γ = 6.2. This value is smaller than that of co-propagating FRAs (Γ = 4.3 [16]) and smaller than that counter-propagating FRAs (Γ ≈ 10.2 [15]). We notice that this interpolation function is the same as that shown in Fig. 1, which is used to describe the relationship of the DOPs and the maximum gains in the “eigen” fiber realization.”
Should be corrected to:
“As shown in Fig. 7, the numerical results of four FOPAs using different fibers and pump powers agree well with Eq. (10) when Γ = 4.8. This value is smaller than that of co-propagating FRAs (Γ = 4.3 [16]) and smaller than that counter-propagating FRAs (Γ ≈ 10.2 [15]). We notice that this interpolation function is similar to that shown in Fig. 1, which is used to describe the relationship of the DOPs and the maximum gains in the “eigen” fiber realization.”
