Freestanding optical fibers fabricated in a glass chip by femtosecond laser micromachining for lab-on-a-chip application: erratum

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

An erratum is presented to correct the propagation loss of the freestanding optical fibers fabricated in glass chip.

©2006 Optical Society of America

There is a mistake of the propagation loss of the freestanding optical fibers fabricated in Foturan glass [1]. The propagation loss calculated using the data in Fig. 2 is approximately 1.3dB/cm instead of the 0.7dB/cm reported in Ref. [1].
