Abstract
The radiative dynamics of excitons have been studied in detail in quasi-two-dimensional systems, such as quantum wells (QW), by using time-resolved photoluminescence (PL). The important regime immediately following resonant excitation, however, has yet to be investigated because of the limited time resolution in earlier studies. In this paper we report studies of resonantly excited PL with femtosecond resolution in GaAs QWs.
