Abstract
High-performance GaN-based LEDs are of technological importance for their applications in traffic signal, full color display, and general illumination. In particular, to realize the solid-state lighting application, the enhancement of output power and turn-on voltage of LEDs is essential. In this talk, we will present recent advances in ohmiccontact technology for GaN-based LEDs. A wide variety of ways of enhancing current injection efficiency through the formation of transparent and reflective ohmic contacts are presented.
