Format Multi plexing from ASK and DPSK to QPSK in an Assistant Light Controlled SOA

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate an all-optical format-multiplexing scheme for combining DPSK and ASK into QPSK format in an assistant light controlled SOA. A 20 Gb/s QPSK signal have been successfully obtained with error-free demodulated results.
