Programmable Repetition Rate Optical Source Based on Fiber Cavity Solitons

Abstract

We trap cavity solitons in a fiber cavity using phase modulation. Using different phase profiles, we generate a programmable repetition rate source with low RF noise, which can find application in large-scale interferometric fiber sensors.
