Estimation and Localization of DGD Distributed Over Multi-Span Optical Link by Correlation Template Method

Abstract

We propose a longitudinal DGD monitoring technique based on correlation template method at Rx-DSP. Estimation and localization of distributed DGD profile over 12×75 km-long SSMF span link are experimentally demonstrated with errors below 1 ps.
