Beam-Steering Based on Dispersive Optical Phased Array for FMCW LiDAR Application

Abstract

We demonstrate dispersive optical phased arrays based on the Si3N4-on-Si platform. Two-dimensional beam steering across a 45.6 °× 10 °FOV with a beam width of 1.45 °× 0.032 °is achieved by wavelength tuning alone. Besides, FMCW ranging operation at a target distance of 10 m are experimentally performed.
