Optical Multipath Interference Reduction Using Adaptive DC-Removal in High-Speed IM/DD Systems

Abstract

We present an experimental study of multipath-interference reduction techniques for 56GBd and 92GBd PAM-4. By extending the equalizer with an adaptive removal of intensity fluctuations, MPI tolerance is increased by 2 and 10 dB, respectively.
