Bidirectional 100G-PAM4 transceiver for 60-km O-band transmission

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a real-time 100G PAM4 bidirectional optical transceiver suitable for 60km links (ER+). The transceiver design is based on a O-Band EML, commercial DSP and do not use any kind of optical amplifiers.
