Abstract

Phase retrieval – a method reconstructing the full optical field only from standard direct-detection measurements at the receiver - is experimentally demonstrated for blind chromatic dispersion, transmitter chirp estimation and for transmission of 56Gbit/s signals over more than 100km SSMF.
