Transmission Optimized Impairment Mitigation by 12 Stage Phase Conjugation of WDM 24×48 Gb/s DP-QPSK Signals

Abstract

Fiber impairment mitigation of an unprecedented 24 WDM channel count is demonstrated in a transmission optimized fiber link using 12 phase conjugations. An 8dB higher nonlinearity threshold is measured for WDM 1.1Tb/s DP-QPSK signals.
