Colorless, Dual-Polarization 90° Hybrid with Integrated VOAs and Local Oscillator on Polymer Platform

Abstract

Colorless and polarization-multiplexed 90° hybrid is demonstrated on polymer platform with vertically inserted thin-film elements as efficient polarization splitter and rotator, on-chip VOAs, and integrated 22-nm wavelength-tunable high-power local oscillator for coherent WDM detection.
