Phase Sensitive Amplification of Coherent Multi-Carrier Pair with 3-dB Signal-ASE Beat Noise Reduction

Abstract

We propose the simultaneous amplification of a coherent multi-carrier pair using χ(2)- based non-degenerate PSA. We demonstrate a 3-dB reduction in the signal-ASE beat noise and a BPSK signal power penalty improvement for the first time.
