Abstract
Optical-frequency mixing can accomplish a variety of wavelength-and time-domain all-optical signal processing functions. Operation at speeds up to 160 Gb/s, bandwidths of 70 nm, and with as few as 400-photon pulses have been demonstrated in periodically-poled lithium niobate (PPLN) devices.
