Ultrafast pulse generation by the use of 2D materials

Abstract

We present a review of ultrashort pulse generation in EDFL using several 2D-materials as saturable absorber onto D-shaped optical fibers. Pulses as short as 150 fs were obtained, confirming their effectiveness for mode-locking applications.
