Abstract
Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) is an emerging, minimally-destructive sensor technology for in-situ real-time chemical and biological species identification and analysis. This laser-based analytical technology is undergoing very rapid growth in both instrumentation advances and in the number and variety of applications in both the military and civilian sectors.
