Abstract

Since their invention in 1960, lasers have become essential to many applications and industries. Such development puts certain pressure on device performance, where laser induced damage plays a key role. Especially, laser related manufacturing drives both rapidly increasing demand for laser systems and pushes reliability requirements. In following paper, we show importance of laser induced threshold testing and developed of state-of-the-art lasers as well as relation with particular applications as laser micromachining or surface.
