Abstract
We exploited a diode-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser to simulate the quantum Green's functions of two dimensional harmonic oscillators with very high order. The resonant transverse orders were precisely evaluated by a systematic comparison between theoretical and experimental modes. We further employed Shannon entropy to study the spatial entanglement of laser modes. We confirmed all lasing modes to be in good agreement with maximum entropy states. This finding suggests that the coupling interaction between the pump source and the laser cavity plays a crucial role in the formation of lasing modes.
