Low temperature emission spectra of individual single-walled carbon nanotubes: Evidence for the Fermi-Edge Singularity Effect

Abstract

Low temperature photoluminescence spectra of individual semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes indicate the existence of unintentionally doped nanotubes along with undoped species. The emission of doped nanotubes is strongly affected by the Fermi-edge singularity effect.
