Abstract

The large scale variation in concentration of great number of atmospheric gaseous pollutants requires a detection scheme which is highly sensitive, selective, portable and remote. Photoacoustic technique offers several advantages over the other conventional techniques and fulfills the above mentioned requirements. A novel CO2-laser photoacoustic system has been developed for remote monitoring of atmospheric pollutants.
