Abstract
Quantum cryptography has developed in a short time from a subtle idea in quantum theory into a practical technology [1]. The principle behind quantum cryptography is that, in general, measurement of a quantum system (that is the extraction of information) will lead to a modification of the state and that this change is subsequently detectable. In quantum cryptography, two parties can communicate by the transmission and detection of a stream of low intensity light pulses.
