Abstract
The Optoelectronics Industry Development Association (OIDA) was formed in July of 1991 with the purpose of improving the competitiveness of the North American optoelectronics industry. The voting members of the association include: AMP Inc., AT&T, Bellcore, Bell Northern Research, Corning, Hewlett Packard Co., Hughes/GM, IBM, Motorola Inc., and 3M. Voting members are represented on the Board of Directors and contribute personnel to the activities of the association.
