Abstract
We demonstrate 1.24 Tb/s transmission through 13 km of four-core fiber by employing a 42 GBaud PM-16QAM signal in the presence of TX IQ imbalance. We use a novel joint equalization technique that performs carrier phase recovery while tolerating the phase and gain imbalance up to 16° and 0.87 dB respectively.
