Abstract
We study spatio-temporal fluctuations in the output signal from a degenerate optical parametric oscillator (OPO) using a Langevin model [1]. We calculate the spatial structure of the output for pump values just below the threshold for the formation of patterns with a critical wavevector. We consider the effects of both a homogeneous and spatially varying squeezed input signal on the output correlations measured in both the near and far-field.
