Abstract

The shifted power-to-voltage response and reduced on/off extinction ratio observed in uncooled Si waveguide intensity modulator can be pre-compensated with offsetting the DC bias to recover the bit-error-ratio from 8.3×10-3 to 9.4×10-9 under 60-Gbit/s NRZ-OOK.
