Abstract
Laser systems deliver low divergence light beam with high quality mode. This feature leads to a small emission antenna diameter, which is of great interest for future free-space communication systems. Today, diode pumped solid-state lasers are under intense research and development.1 Indeed, in comparison with flash lamp pumped laser, they offer significant advantages in terms of efficiency, compactness, lifetime, and high beam quality.
