Abstract
Light tunneling in multiplayer structures consisting ɛ-negative (ENG) and μ-negative (MNG) materials is investigated theoretically and experimentally. A "spatial-averaged single-negative" gap is observed due to tunneling of interface modes in periodical structures and completely transparency via tunneling is realized in heterostructures.
