Abstract

A novel phase-stepping technique is implemented in a Sagnac loop for measuring femtosecond PMD spectra and wavelength-dependent Principal States of Polarization with the polarization dependent attenuation accounted for. The measurements agree well with the π-shifted Sagnac loop previously proposed by us.
