Abstract
Proposed applications for pulse shaping include coherent excited chemistry, OTDM, and pulse compression.1,2 With the ability to produce time delays of a few microseconds with picosecond resolution, optical coherent transient (OCT) processing in rare-earth doped crystals can perform optical pulse shaping with resolution and delays unreachable by femtosecond pulse shaping techniques.
