High-speed cinematography of laser spot welding

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

In the electronics industry laser welding is more and more accepted as a high-quality joining technique in mass production. The advantages over the conventional technique, e.g., resistance welding, are mainly related to the lack of contact with the product parts. A drawback is the occasional problem of product pollution with metal vapor.
