Abstract
Parenchymal density patterns have been utilised in x-ray mammography to predict breast cancer risk. Transillumination spectral information is derived from the same tissue composition changes, causing x-ray density patterns, predating cancer development. Establishing equivalency between the two techniques is pursuit through PCA analysis and quantification of tissue chromophores.
