Abstract
Diffuse optical imaging is an effective technique for non-invasive functional brain imaging. However these measurements also respond to interference signals caused by systemic hemodynamic fluctuations. In this paper, we use the spatial behavior of the data to identity and reduce the interference signals. Through this spatial filtering, we can obtain a more localized response and improved maps of correlation coefficient. We report tests on data from 2 human subjects.
