Abstract
An optical fiber transversal filter based on fiber Bragg grating arrays has been studied. In this device bandpass filtering in microwave domain is realized. The frequency response of the filter is tunable by changing the operating optical wavelength. The signal- to-noise ratio and the quality factor of the filter are improved by apodizing the reflected intensities from the gratings and increasing the number of the grating arrays.
