First Measurements of Nonlinear Second-Order Frequency Conversion Phase-Matching Conditions in the Uniaxial Crystal α-GeO2

Abstract

We report the first phase-matching conditions for sum- and difference- frequency generations directly measured over the full transparency range of the uniaxial α-GeO2 crystal. We also determined the damage threshold energy and intensity.
