Abstract
Output of a burst-mode regenerative Yb:CaF2 amplifier, designed to overcome intracavity optical damage by colliding pulse replicas, is coherently combined into a single mJ pulse. Thresholds of pulse-burst-induced damage of optical elements are experimentally investigated.
