Abstract
The need for highly sensitive detectors is the main cost driver in Raman spectroscopy. This work demonstrates the use of a conventional CCD camera for recording Raman spectra of ethanol with high signal-to-noise ratio and high spectral resolution. The results show that the costs of a Raman setup can be substantially reduced at the expense of an extended acquisition time.
