Challenges and Solutions in Transferring Optical Technologies into High-Volume Inline Production Environments

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Inventing innovative optical systems is one thing, but for successful commercialization of the technology, several challenges regarding the production environment they are employed in have to be solved. The talk will cover several optical concepts, and the unique solutions that were developed for them to be used in automated, high-volume inline production environments. This includes in particular the automation of the optical setup, part handling, and data processing.
