Abstract
By applying correlation domain techniques to Brillouin scattering in optical fibers, distributed sensing for strain and/or temperature has been realized with mm-order resolution, kHz-order sampling-rate, and random accessibility. Strain/temperature discriminative measurement has also been demonstrated.
