Fabrication of Chiral Fiber Bragg Gratings with a Standing Spiral Polarization Wave

Abstract

We propose a method to fabricate chiral fiber Bragg gratings. By the method, we can prepare gratings with spiral birefringence axes by using the interference of counterpropagating circularly polarized beams of the same handedness in photosensitive alignment material fibers.
